Drilling holes - stepcraft 840 was created by hassage
Hallo all,

ive been looking into drilling holes like a peg board, but very small holes like 1.5 - 1 mm on very small work pieces. (think jewelry pendants, bracelets sizes)

I am using a stepcraft 840, with HF500 spindle with Vcrave Pro.

What end mills do i use?

Do i just use the drilling tool path in Vcarve pro with a straight end mill or do i need a specific end mill for drilling?

any help or tips would be great.

thanks
hassa

Hello hassage,

If you just want to drill holes especially small ones than don't use endmills.
Preferably use drillbits like these :

for very small holes use peck drilling and medium speed.good luck
