Might it be possible for Stepcraft to sell small stepcraft-orange Perspex sheets, not larger than, say, the bed of a 600, in thicknesses of (say) 2mm, 3mm, 5mm? These could be terrifically useful for making brackets and so-forth for the machines to suit our specific needs?

Easiest would probably be to visit your local acrylic glass dealer and look at orange materials. As mentioned here, the colour is called RAL 2003.
Else, order some online: https://www.modulor.de/en/acrylic-glass-gs-coloured-3-mm.html and see how it matches.
