Stepcraft 840 Timing Belt Upgraide!
Hello from Latvia!
Stepcraft 840 belt is too weak! So I decided to upgrade to 8mm / T5. I no longer have to worry that the strap might break. So I decided to share with others who have encountered this problem.
You can download pulleys T5/10 Tooth STL file ( https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2746541 )
Here you can buy a timing belt ( http://www.beltingonline.com/8t5-1380-synchroflex-belt-8661 )
I have not encountered any difficulties with the drive belt on my machine but thanks for the tip anyway.

I.M.H.O if your machine is destroying timing belts, then there must be excessive loads on them (assuming they have been tensioned correctly) Double check the "tuning" of your Y-axis - with the motor unpowered moving the gantry by pulling on the belt should be relatively easy.

There is no problem, however simple, that cannot be made more complicated by thinking about it.
