I'm looking to mill the surface of a cast aluminium (Hammond) enclosure with a design for a guitar pedal - a few graphics and text to indicate what the various dials/switches do etc.
Some of the details - text/pattern - is as small as 1.5mm in width
I only need to mill to a depth of 0.5-1mm as I plan to spray paint over the whole thing and sand it back to leave paint in the milled areas.
I have a D600 machine and the HF500 spindle.
I wonder if anyone might be able to suggest suitable end mill(s), spindle and feed speeds please?
