First pieces was created by sloworks
Hi,

Here's my first pieces. 7mm plywood, with silly dimensions (because I was more exited about the machine than actually designing them :))

Looks really good for a "first piece"!

No idea what it is but I like it already. :cheer: :silly: ;)

I think it would look great if you make it out of Makrolon or Acrylic and less thick.

I prefer wood (not plywood, which was just something I had at home, but solid wood), maybe birch/teak/mahogany/apple tree is going to be material in this case.

Mahogany please!!! B)

Just joking! ;)

Question: Have you fed Estlcam with a 2D or 3D file?

So far only 2D, but going to try 3D as soon as possible.

Any chance to have a share on your SolidWorks-2,5D/3D -> CAM -> Stepcraft "learning curve"?
I personally think it would be nice for this forum to have more "Hand on" information/documentation regarding this topic ...

... but on the other hand it's maybe only me.

Well, here something:
So far I have used only dxf files exported from SOLIDWORKS, waiting for new cutters to start with 3D (stl). I make the paths in EstlCAM (CNC program preset to WinPC-NC), then import DIN-file to WinPC-NC. Define zero point and run. Quite simple actually.

Is there specific problem/situation that needs to be cleared out?
