Gravoply Engraving labels was created by Rory
shown here is 2.5D CAM used to engrave a name plate in gravoply. VcarvePro was used here. VcarvePro has the extra feature that you can design your text in 2D - just like using Microsoft word etc - and VcarvePro will then generate a 3D toolpath to apply a Vcut machining strategy for the text.

VcarvePro is a little different to Cut3D in that Vcarve can be used to create/change the design internally. Cut3D can STL files and apply 3D toolpaths. You cannot modify the STL file.

Vcarve lets you use the internal 2D CAD package to do all your design work. You can also import CAD data generated from external CAD packages like solidworks - illustrator - Corel - Turbo CAD etc.

the video shows the toolpath being applied and imported into UCCNC and the toolpath used to control the machine. The toolpath is Gcode. So you can use this same toolpath in WinPC full version - Mach3 and Linux CNC
