Control of Spindle using UCCNC was created by coanda
Hi, I see that there are serial ports on the back of my 420 and the 350w motor controller. Am I able to connect the two and have control of the spindle via UCCNC?

I haven't tried this yet in case bad things happen!

Thanks,

coanda

yes - you will be able to control the spindle. There is a relatively slow optocoupler on the STEPCRAFT control card. Therefore the PWM frequency output at max RPM is important. the new version of the UCCNC that we are testing allows you to change the PWM frequency at the max RPM. So we will soon have it configured.
