Only one toolpath? was created by badgersurfer
I am just about to start my first proper project and I am doing Vcarve (Desktop) Inlay. I have 5 toolpaths 3 for the pocket and 2 for the Inlay. I thought that when I selected the 3 pocket tick boxes to save toolpath it would open in uccnc and do the first with v cutter then on the second ask me to change tool to end mill do that and then the third is a slot with an end mill. Seems to me that although I selected (ticked) 3 toolpaths and saved as mach2/3arcsmm.txt it only saved the toolpath that was currently selected. This would mean I would have to save 5 toolpaths and execute each one in sequence with uccnc. Am I getting something wrong here?

you need to select "save all toolpaths to file" and then they all have to be the same tool.

if you have separate tools you need to save separate toolpaths and re-zero the Z between tool changes.

I am not familiair with uccnc but I work with Aspire which is basicly the same as VCarve with extra functions.
If you use several tools and toolpaths make sure that you give the tools a number (1,2,3,...) in the tool database map or in the edit function by Tool in toolpath.
After finishing your Toolpath calculation and you have checked the paths select the Toolpath list checkbox (this select all the tolpaths you just create).
Now click Save Toolpaths and selec "Output all visible toolpaths to one file"
Under the List Toolpaths to be saved you can see wich tool nr is used for wich path.Than save the right postprossor for your machine.
thats it.

In your CNC machining program you need to have a function for (manual) toolchanging.

good luck
