Stepcraft Drag Knife was created by CNCMiller
Is there anyone who has some experience with the Stepcraft Drag Knife?

I like to buy one to cut my own stickers and letters.

Now I understand from the Operating instructions that I first have to zero the Z-axis, when the knife touched the material.
And in my Aspire program zet the Z-axis on a 2 to 5 mm cutting depth?
On the drag knife than you set the cutting depth of the sticker material.

Is that correct? Or do I miss something.

Hi!

Yes, you adjust the knife depth on the dragknife to go through the vinyl and halfway into the backing paper, maybe 0.1 mm or just test. Then the knife is mounted in an assembly that is spring loaded so you could set the cutting depth to 2-4 mm just so it presses down properly against the material. These 2-4mm won't affect the cutting depth of the knife.

Best regards
