Hello,

Couple months ago I assembled the SC 840 and I'm now trying to fix the problems I have.
I do have WinPC-NC Starter but when I use this to go to home position, some axis goes in to wrong direction. How can I change the direction somehow? Changing wiring or changing a parameter somewhere? Or isn't possible with the WinPC-NC Starter?
So if I need to upgrade, what I have to buy then? I would like to buy 3D milling software as well.

Please, who can help me?

Thanks.

Hi riestepap,

changing a parameter works, i have winpcnc in german, see the picture.
The marked value is it, that you have to change.

After thet works...
For 3D you can by the full verson of winpcnc.
Then you can start out of the box with doing 3D, because your steppi is ready for doing 3d.

Sure, you must using some cad- and cam-software to create the 3d and send it to your steppi.

Riestepap is talking about the Starter version. You don't have this settings tab in the starter.

Something went wrong with the installation of WinPC.

@MagIO2
Im so sorry.

@riestepap
You can reach the 'Demomode' by disconecting the usb to steppi connection (plug out the usbcable).
In 'Demomode', winpcnc is working like full version and yes, all savings are done (if you pushed savebuttons).
After that is done, restart winpcnc with steppi connected.

Hello Nonaga, Hello everyone,
Thanks for helping so far, I've tried couple of times to switch the machine parameter for the X axis in demomode and saved it, it doesn't matter when I start the program again. Everything is working except the X axis.
What to do next?

If you are going to have to upgrade anyway to work in 3D, then give serious consideration to UCCNC. Not only does it work very well, but is is easily configurable and relieves your PC/laptop of all the high speed calcs needed to follow a complex toolpath.

Just my two pennyworth - it works faultlessly for me and integrates seamlessly with Vectric Cut2D and 3D.

SC 420/2, Industrial VFD spindle from StoneyCNC
UC100 + UCCNC
Cut2D, Autosketch10, Draftsight, Eagle 9.5.1

There is no problem, however simple, that cannot be made more complicated by thinking about it.

Hello, I'm back after a big summer stop.
I'm still looking for a solution for this problem without upgrading the program. I would like to try first if possible.

Is it possible to change the wire on the card, which is not recommended maybe but I just want to know which color I have to change then.

Anything else maybe?
